We have also been in contact with John (Juni) Mobley, a small point guard ranked 38 by rivals and 48 by 247. Got some buzz at Pangos.
But that’s 2024. They need to make some noise in ‘23. With kids describing things as slightly better than “I don’t despise it”.

Some new 2023 international (now in the US) names to keep an eye on.

Marouf Moumine, 6-5, PG, originally from Senegal, played at NBA Academy and just recently came over to the US. He will blow up if he plays well in EYBL.

Meet Marouf Moumine‼️ Cameroon’s next basketball ⭐🇨🇲 #jrnba #dwyanewade #dwade #joelembiid #cameroon #basketball #motivation #inspiration #florida #highschool #fyp (tiktok.com)

Michael Nwoko, 6-10, 240, from Canada, now playing in North Carolina. Might have already missed the boat, he's blowing up with offers, he's a beast.

Caleb Vanderburg on Twitter: "2023 Michael Nwoko had a big week at FIBA U18 America’s championship for Canada 🇨🇦 @MichaelNwoko2 💪🏾 https://t.co/jzVlRhW1uv" / Twitter

I'll be back with 2024 kids in another post.

Adam Finkelstein has an interview with Trey Autry on 247. Trey says both him and his father agree that he will be charting his own path and not play at Syracuse. Rhode Island has prioritized him.

Trey and his Western Reserve high school team had a big day yesterday, beating The Patrick School, a major school from NJ. They also had this game with Trey’s winner.

Whoever gets him is going to be happy they did. He’s a winner.

Yep. Maybe this interview will make it clear to schools that Trey won’t be going to Syracuse. I’ll be rooting for the City Rocks to win Peach Jam, they’ve got a chance this year. Teams are starting to recognize Kayvaunn Mulready‘s ability too, he’s received recent offers from Wake Forest and Providence. He seems like a Providence player.

We could use more Providence players, weren’t they a single digit seed in the tournament this year. I hope they give Mulready a good look.

PC was a 4 seed. Their whole thing is really Ed Cooley. He’s a great coach. A lot of their good kids wouldn’t work nearly as well at SU because of how they play.
I just don’t see Autry as a high level P5 prospect….but I admit my nepotism fatigue is so high I’m probably not being fair. I’ll be thrilled to be wrong.

Not Cuse related, but I’m telling you international should be a priority. Another really interesting kid.

Jadyn Harris—the other 2024 wing from Virginia that we have contacted—has transferred to Long Island Lutheran, who is joining the NIBC next year. That’s probably why he’s not playing for Bishop O’Connell at the DMV Live event this weekend.

For his Father’s Day post, Reid didn’t use an old photo of him and his father, instead choosing this from his Syracuse visit. One more indication he will likely be selecting Syracuse. Maybe he would’ve used Penn St or Xavier if they had been the first visit. But I think this choice of photos means something.
