Looks like he had a better offensive game than Wagner, although Wagner had a ton of assists.
I've never seen Wagner have an efficient game scoring. One of many reasons to like Judah is he scores a lot without shooting a lot or dominating the ball. Great at getting to the line.

Boeheim was apparently in Kansas City last night with two assistants watching Estrella and Elmarko Jackson. Now he's in Indianapolis. Thought we were out of it with Buzelis a long time ago. Hasn't been a lot with Bowen and Syracuse recently either, would love it if he's still considering SU. Also on Expressions is Griffiths but he's not playing, I assume he's injured. Maybe we're checking out Royal Brown too? Ducharme's team plays their second game of the day at 6:30pm, Boeheim will probably be there. Good to see we're at least active this weekend.

Happy to see Boeheim himself is out there grinding, not just the assistants.

Yeah I saw that SU was watching Justin Edwards, figured the Orange was out of the running for him. Curious regarding SU watching Expressions Elite, as it kind of seemed like the Orange wasn't a huge contender at this point for either Buzelis or Griffiths, and I don't believe SU has offered Bowen.

I didn't realize we hadn't offered Bowen, he seems like a Syracuse forward. Maybe the tweet is wrong about who we're there to watch, maybe it's Bowen or possibly Brown or even an unknown player on the Canadian team.

Well, Mike is the recruiting expert, not me, but I didn't think a formal offer had gone out to Bowen. I did see a tweet not too long ago from a Rivals.com analyst noting that SU had interest in UPlay 2024 G Keenan Emmanuel, although not sure if he's playing up for this live period.

Just because it’s reported that they are there to watch a specific kid doesn’t necessarily mean all that much. Those teams all have plenty of kids that can play at this level, and just having a presence helps generally speaking (coach’s perception, etc). I don’t believe they have a prayer with Buzelis (and I’m confused why they aren’t pursuing Bowen more). TJ Power is a good player but I can understand why SU isn’t pursuing him from a traditional standpoint (not saying I agree; saying I understand it). He’s not really a classic SU forward (not saying I agree; in fact I’ll say I disagree).
Also…Magic won their morning game against Houston.

I hadn’t heard of Emmanuel before or our interest. He didn’t play with the the U17 team Boeheim was watching. But he did play in the U16 game and had quite the score line.

Right on, thanks for sharing, I'll definitely keep an eye out regarding him. I also came across a tweet from a Rivals analyst, noting Syracuse in attendance for Team Thad vs. Team Melo ... curious who SU may be checking out there!

The game just finished. Only name I recognize is Duke commit Caleb Foster. Here’s the boxwcore, maybe you’ll recognize someone.

Yeah definitely recognize Caleb Foster, Oak Hill/Duke guy. On another board, some guys mentioned Isaiah Coleman and Solomon Ball. I'd never previously been aware of any potential SU interest in either Coleman or Ball, but again, this is Mike's jam, not mine!

Just watched Ducharme's second game of the day, wilder than the earlier game. Lots of whistles, fouls, delays, much more than I've seen in an EYBL game. Ducharme went down hard a couple times on drives to the basket but was ok. Really crazy finish. Ducharme's BABC team had a tough time holding a lead again. Up two with six seconds to go, Ducharme steps to the line and knocks them both down seemingly to ice the game. Other team hits a very deep three with three seconds to go. BABC throws a long pass, turns it over at the other end, other team dribbles up the court about to launch a 60 foot shot when a player on Ducharme's team reaches around and knocks the ball loose at the buzzer but gets called for a foul. Other team steps to the line down one point and misses them both.

Ducharme had a strong game. Has a good feel for the game, handles the ball frequently with the occasional turnover. Drives only when he sees an opening but if it closes up he doesn't have the athleticism to finish and it can end in a missed shot or turnover. In the three games I've seen, he's never used his very good leaping ability because he's not that type of player during a game, doesn't have the strength to go strong to the basket. He's a shooter/scorer. He moves around the court effortlessly, light on his feet, not quick but not slow either. Never seems hesitant, anxious or unsure of himself on the court. He seems like the type of player who would put up a lot of points if he goes to a school a level or two down from Syracuse. He could be a taller Girard, although he's a different type athlete than Joe.

The guy that really stands out on BABC is TJ Power, a physical 6'7" white kid who plays point guard on offense and center on defense. He is the opposite of Ducharme as an athlete, looks for contact and often looks to initiate it on his many drives. Reminds me of Buddy this year, bumping his defender towards the basket. But Power is only a high school junior and he has more moves than Buddy does now, uses frequent 180 spins when he's not banging his defender back. He is also a good three point shooter, strong on the boards and a good playmaker. He might not have as high a ceiling as other more gifted athletes because he seems like he's more of a finished product right now, but he is going to be a very good college player for somebody. He's a gamer. Best Syracuse comparison might be a more aggressive Justin Taylor. Power plays like he knows he's the sun the rest of the team revolves around, but not in a selfish way.
