Mike I know we touched on this before but what’s your take on Trey? Have you heard anything? From the inactivity it makes me think he told Red he wants his own path and they’re just not gonna offer. Or they know there’s no rush to offer bc they can at any time and know where he stands. An interesting recruitment as he continues to blow up. I like to keep all legacy kids home. Keep the family feel.
He’s a really good player. Excellent shooter. I think he’s good enough to play here. I expect Boeheim will watch him next month and they’ll decide if they want to offer at that point. If they do, I’m sure they’ll have a discussion about the dad as coach thing. Perhaps they’ve already had that. But we will see where it goes.

Stats from the EYBL session in Louisville over the weekend for Syracuse targets.

One number that jumps out to me is Gapare's 2.3 turnovers in just 21 minutes. That's a lot for a guy that didn't have the ball in his hands a lot. He plays on the perimeter most of the time on offense and has good ball handling skills and made some nice assists, but he had twice as many turnovers. Right now, he's a lot more potential than production. He also had the same 2.0 blocked shots as Papa, in fewer minutes. The rebounding numbers are good, but I watched most of a few games and never saw him get a tough rebound. There's a lot fewer uncontested rebounds in college than AAU or high school. He'll have to learn to up the aggression, but the ability is there.

I can’t see us snubbing Autry and not giving him an offer. Whether he wants to play for his Dad or carve his own path is another question.

I wonder if what we do with Trey is dependent on what happens with Elmarko and Ducharme. If the staff sees Ducharme as a two, that could be three guards we're bringing in. But we could be losing all three of Joe, Symir, and Judah after this season, or none of them.

I would love to grab all 3, but Autry and Elmarko seem pretty similar in both being combos and both around the same size 6’3 and between 180-190.

Curious to see how it plays out. And as far as Griffiths from the other posts on this thread, I didn’t think we were actively on him. From what I understand, it’s Elmarko, Reid, JP, and Tafara that are the “top priorities” at the moment.

Yeah, I have no inside info but am getting the sense it's Elmarko, JP and Reid, and then also Tafara ... maybe Ugonna Kingsley, too? Kaden Cooper seems like he would be tough to haul in, I think he's visiting Gonzaga soon.

I'll take any three of those four. :)
