I know we were supposed to have Reid Ducharme on campus but then we had the covid pause. Since then though we haven't heard any names visiting... Is it because of the uncertianty with Coach B?

It’s a great question. Been the most difficult cycle to pin down in terms of priority targets, etc. I don’t have an answer for you unfortunately.

There‘s been recent articles of the three guys I wanted—Gavin Griffiths, Aden Holloway, Papa Kante—and Syracuse wasn't even mentioned as one of the teams involved with any of them. Maybe the players aren’t interested in us. Or maybe we don’t want to recruit too many 2023 guys because we want some veterans from the portal to team with this 2022 class when they’re sophomores. At least publicly, Ducharme and Estrella seem to be it. I’m not excited about either of them.

Please go hard at Gavin Griffiths. I think JP Estrella is still somewhat of a priority. He’s improved a ton this year; I can appreciate why people aren’t excited but he’s got potential. Mike I’m curious why they aren’t going hard at Taylor Bowen? TJ Power? Miranda?

Two articles this morning speaking well about JP Estrella's performance at the UAA Circuit in Indiana. Both articles have him as one of the top standouts. Behind On3's paywall, Jamie Shaw's article on day 1 standouts talks about Estrella first. Neither article has Syracuse mentioned on the list of schools watching him. What is going on with 2023 recruiting, are we not active with anyone any longer?

I watched a bit of this game, first time getting a look at Ducharme in a game. He's one of these athletes that moves effortlessly, light on his feet, floats around the court looking for scoring opportunities, not much aggression on defense but can say that about most players in AAU. Not a physical guy at all but will go to the basket when he sees an opening, saw him finish with both left and right. Those openings for a layup or to grab a rebound won't be there in college for him, but he can shoot. Not just a catch and shoot guy, looks efficient from midrange.

Zagoria says GMac is at Nike EYBL. Zagoria says he's watching DJ Wagner but he's probably mostly there for the opponent with Ducharme, whose team is playing its third game in less than 24 hours.
