6-6 shooter out of Fairfax, VA. Plays for Paul VI Catholic (PVI). We've been in contact with Harris and I think we have Autry and Griffin at the DMV Live event this weekend watching him, among others. Rated 49 in the 247 composite. Offered by Duke and took an unofficial there in February. Followed by Benny, Justin, and Judah on instagram.

I'll post this box score from this morning here since Harris had a big game. Darren Harris, Donnie Freeman, Reid Ducharme in this game. Darren Harris has a beautiful looking shot. I've seen a couple people on instagram call him Baby Klaystation. Doesn't do a lot else right now. On3's recent rankings moved him up to 56.
Pearl, Thanks so much for all the info you post!!!! It is awesome

I haven't seen anything more about Syracuse and Harris except for Jake's first tweet the day after we could contact him. He's an interesting player. Jake said he's back from injury and a five star caliber player. When I've seen him he doesn't do much of anything besides shoot. But maybe it's rust, lack of confidence, or just getting his body back healthy that has him not doing too much else right now. He looks like one of the best shooters in the 2024 class. 9-17 from three in two games yesterday. And he just finished his sophomore year, playing with the U17 team. Hopefully we have a shot with him. Our four DMV guys on the roster helped bring each other to Syracuse. Benny helped get Justin, Justin helped get Maliq, and Benny was a big help in getting Judah. Darren Harris is followed on instagram by Benny, Justin, and Judah. Maybe they can help bring him to Syracuse too.

Team Takeover--with class of '24 Donnie Freeman and elite shooter Darren Harris both playing up a year--just won their play-in game into Peach Jam. They'll play their first Peach Jam game later today. Harris doesn't do a lot on offense besides float around the three-point line looking for his shot, but it's easy to forget he's not a 2023 kid because he's an important part of the team. Takeover was losing at the half but took the lead in the third and poured it on in the fourth. Harris might've hit the biggest shot of the game with a deep three at about the four minute mark that pushed the lead from six to nine and opened up a substantial lead for the first time.
