Where are you seeing 4.7 yards per play? I feel like I must be missing something but it looks like 25 passing attempts, 30 rushing….for 389 yards, or a little more than 7 yards per play. That’s ESPN’s box score. If we are going to beat Clemson, Anae has to be creative. I think our defense will be fine but there will be spots where Clemsons athletes have success. Thrilled to be 6-0. But against NC State we averaged 4.7 yards per play which is really bad. You can credit the NC State defense. But the Clemson defense could easily be better than theirs. 4.7 yards per play will not get it done in Death Valley. Plain and simple. I’d like to see us at 6 or higher this game. Which to me means we try some stuff that hasn’t been on film and Shrader is sharp.

Ah completely understand how one could confuse that. No problem. That was the quote from CBS about the game. I misheard it. It was actually 3.7 yards per play and they were talking about NC State. Which in my mind was a bad number. I should’ve double checked it before posting because it didn’t seem right. Not afraid to admit when I’m wrong. And yeah it was 7.1 yards per play which is a good number.
