My five takeaways from Syracuse’s loss to Pittsburgh yesterday, which is more of a look at what the 2021 season meant for the program, the direction moving forward, etc.

I really really really hope they don’t bring Dino back. Another year with him at the HC would set this program so far back, it will take even longer for the next HC to be successful here.

If they do that, then Sean Tucker is likely gone, Syracuse is paying Dino's buyout and then the next coach's salary. I'm not convinced they'd do that and pay salary needed to attract a good coach. And if Sean Tucker leaves, you do not get any benefit of having perhaps your best player over the last 20 years give you any type of notoriety or exposure or cache. Because on NFL bios, when they discuss starting lineups, Madden bios, etc., he will have a different school next to his name. Long-term for the program, that matters. We will see what happens though. If he is back they have to have a good year to extend him, obviously.

Don’t agree at all. This program needs to have a head coach that recruits and coaches well, not to mention a HC that can win ACC games. If this AD is keeping Dino so he doesn’t lose Sean Tucker, then he should be fired. You think GRob put this program in a hole? Look around, there is nothing here. At least GRob left multiple talented 4* players and a QB/WR/RB combo including multiple good OL. Dino continues to bury this program.
