First two drives aside, penalties really impacted the game - seemingly occurring at some of the worst possible moments.

It was good to go out with a win, and I am sure everyone would have taken 7-5 at the beginning of the season with no questions asked. The lack of discipline though is really problematic. There’s no need for the flag BS, and the sheer volume of penalties that SU gets game after game, year after year….just unacceptable. I don’t want SU to make a coaching change; I don’t think they can score a big enough name to make it worthwhile on the back of a bowl game and a winning record. But I can understand the feeling of those adamant they should. The discipline has gotta get cleaned up though. To me, you keep Dino but with no extension yet (maybe there are bonuses for the bowl, etc), and next year is the real decision year.

Agree, supposedly his contract is through 2024, he needs to go bowling again otherwise we need to make a change.

No issues with trying to plant the flag. It happens every rivalry week, every year in college football. They want to spit in our face and throw punches, plant it. Let them know. It’s not like this is some new thing that We are too good for but Washington Michigan and NC State (who all planted flags this weekend) are not. Let them have the smoke.

Honestly I was cracking up when I saw the panned out view and our players who had the flag were getting chased around by that BC OLmen. Hope this triggers a rivalry.

Stay healthy for the nfl draft. But I’m not convinced anyone will sit out. It’s different when you aren’t a first rounder or haven’t played in a bowl game yet
That sounds pretty ridiculous to a person who follows basketball a lot more than football. Basketball players don’t sit out the NCAAs in March because they’ve already decided they’re leaving. I know the injury risk is much greater in football, but it’s part of the job description, and there's some risk in basketball. Tough to ask fans to bleed orange, buy NIL stuff and everything else, then when fans are hyped up about the big bowl game you skip it so you can protect your NFL contract. I don’t mean to single out Tucker if it’s common practice and he hasn't even signaled that he might sit out. Why did he play yesterday? A bowl game is bigger than a regular season game against BC.

The difference being in March you’re playing for a championship. Bowl games outside of the playoff don’t mean much.
