Syracuse Signee Joey Spallina Inks NIL Deal With Gait Lacrosse
Syracuse men's lacrosse's 2022 recruiting class is one of, if not the, best in the country. Included in that class is the number one overall player in Joey

I don’t think Gary is part owner anymore unless I’m mistaken. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.Mike, if coach Gait is a part owner of Gait Lacrosse is that an issue? Thanks

If the NCAA has some sort of issue with this, then they have to investigate several schools where high profile recruits are signing million dollar NIL deals to go there.I believe he’s involved in some capacity. But I’m not entirely sure. In the relaunch in 2020 it seemed like he was involved. I mean it is his twin brother that owns it.
But from a company perspective this signing makes total sense to me. He’s the best recruit in the country. Gait is the cutting edge for lacrosse equipment for womens lacrosse. If they are trying to get more into the mens market this is who you want as the face of your brand. To add to the Gait name. A future all world player.
As much as this just doesn’t seem like a pay for play to me because the signing makes total sense, I have zero issues if it is. Everyone else is doing it openly.
