Mike the solution to #3 is to change the offensive strategy. The 4-1 sets they run have almost no motion, screening, or continuity. You’re hoping that your primary penetrators can not only beat their man, but draw help and then make the right decision with the ball….and then have shooters knock down shots. It all results in a ton of standing and watching. Syracuse is very easy for good teams to guard. I’m really disappointed they aren’t running things with real motion concepts, maybe some flex action built in, etc.

The team has so many holes: lack of shooters, no true point guard, too many kids playing out of position, a ton of wasted roster space with big men who don’t contribute. On top of what Mass mentions above about the complete lack of movement in their half court offense. NIT would be an accomplishment with this roster, and hopefully that can be improved and the offensive philosophy improved in the offseason
