Robert Wright 2024 Point Guard

JB and GMac were watching this U16 game throughout. Rob Wright vs Yves Missi and 5-star White Plains native Boogie Fland. Caught bits of this. Wright seems the same as in clips. What I like about him is he plays under control with disciplined movements, unlike a lot of talented high school point guards who always want to play at 100mph. Missi is a defender/rebounder and a work in progress at the offensive end.

I'll post this here instead of creating a separate thread. This is an U16 game with Juni Mobley, who said we contacted him the first day we could in June. He's a 2024 smaller point guard like Rob Wright. Similar shot also, almost a set shot like Bunch with a low release and the ball floats softly to the basket. But while Wright is a pass-first point guard, Juni is a scorer. He has an exceptional shooting touch, as shown in the box, and he led a ferocious comeback today that came up just short. Juni's from Vegas and rated 48 by 247. I don't know if he has interest in Syracuse, but he did include us when he mentioned the schools that had contacted him the first day.

Yeah, I had remembered that SU had reportedly reached out to Mobley, as well as Darren Harris and Jadyn Harris, once the contact period opened up on June 15. Not sure if there is mutual interest; Mike would know best!!

Robert Wright not with one of his better games. Team Final loses in the U16 semis. I like the way Wright plays the point. Doesn't try for the difficult play as so many other high school players do, makes the solid play, crisp passes. He's in the Tyler Ennis mold of point guards. He'll be a top player at next year's Peach Jam. GMac was sitting in front under the basket throughout the game.

I hope we get the coaching situation clarified early enough to give us a shot at the 2024 class. Would love to have Wright and Sorber and half dozen other guys we're interested in. We're probably going to need a big 2024 class.
