2023 Football Recruiting

Mike, is it too early to start talking about 2023 football recruiting? Any chance we might see an article coming on some of our top 2023 recruiting priorities? I see we have offered 6 2023 QBs already, but only 2 are uncommitted thus far: 5* Dante Moore from Martin Luther King in Detroit & 3* LaNorris Sellers from Florence, SC.

I think we have offered 4 or 5 NY kids for 2023 thus far and shown interest in a few more. Maybe our Junior Day visitors will be an indication of who our priorities are, although I’ve only seen a couple who have indicated they are coming so far. Any chance RB Reuben Owens comes in for that? Historically, we only seem to end up getting one or two commits from those attending Junior Day. Am I right on that?

Yes a priority list will be coming at some point this month. I need to have the intel first though. I don't want to put a list out that's just a bunch of random names as a guess. I want it to be an accurate list.

By my count, I think we have offered something like three 5*s and 42 4*s in 2023. I don’t think it’s unusual to offer top prospects initially, but I would be interested in whether we might have a fighting chance with some of these top recruits. I think we’ve offered them the most at WR & LB, followed by S & RB.
