Mike, any idea why he waited until the day before the Bowl game to announce? Did the coaches already know he wouldn’t be playing in the practices leading up to the game or was this a surprise? Who do you see as our starting linebackers now?
I don’t believe this caught the coaches off guard.
Starting LBs I’d assume will be Anwar Sparrow, Marlowe Wax and Derek McDonald.

I heard Kadin Bailey had been looking good, too.
I think there’s a lot of hope with the young backers for sure.

As long as Wax stays, LB will be in good shape next year. Having Thompson back will be huge for the run defense
