My Five Takeaways from Syracuse's Loss to Rutgers

Didn’t see the whole game but my quick thoughts….

-defense has some big time players, credit to White for having them play aggressive and well.

-Offense is super disappointing, after so many years sucks this is where Babers and Devito are at right now.

-Why not use the tight ends?

-Do we have anything at WR besides Taj?

-What was that 4th quarter punt?

-Refs we’re brutal.

-This is year 6 of Babers and it’s been a huge disappointment, if he doesn’t make a bowl this year I hope they move in another direction.

The officials have got to be held accountable. They are literally messing with peoples jobs. 1 hold call the whole game?? I saw several on Rutgers that were not called. These officials had 1 goal, to help Rutgers win. Unfortunately this seems to be the theme in games against Syracuse. Every P5 game has multiple game changing calls, in the other teams favor.

I think GS took some time to get the nerves out and started to show he could move the ball. TD showed a great long throw to Harris and some legs to pick up chunks. That was it from TD. He looked the same as he has the previous 2 years. That fumble sack, the over throwing out of bounds was typical. No idea why GS was not given another quarter.

Defense looked great. I think they will keep us in a lot of games this year. It’s a matter of time before we start creating turnovers and win

Refs were terrible and influenced outcome of game. Several questionable calls against us hurt, including the Taj fumble and Dino penalty (especially after what Schiano got away with).

Offense shot itself in the foot with penalties, drops, just misses, missing open receivers, and missed blocks. Special teams were bad and our poor field position killed us. Would like to see more of our WRs get a chance to show what they can do. Saw enough of Schrader to want him to get some more opportunities.
